Planai Ski Opening

In December 2007 the organisators of the Planai Ski Opening demonstrated the first time their good nose for actual hot music stars and exceeded all expectations in the following years. International superstars like Pink, KidRock, David Guetta, One Republic, Kesha, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Marlon Roudette and Natalia Kills rocked already the stage at the bottom of the planai. And now we already wonder, which TOP-act could be landed for the next year.

 

Nightrace

50.000 fans come annually to the Styrian ski-"Mekka" to cheer for their ski star at the legendary Nightrace. The Nightrace is a real classic in the alpine ski world and has a great vogue at its visiters and its racers caused by the grandiose atmosphere. This mega event transforms the "Capital City of Skiing" in a big party for 3 days.

 

Alpine Ski Worldcup Finales 2012

The scene of the Alpine Ski World Championships 2013 has to pass the oficial final rehearsal one year before the mega sport event. In the time 14th to 18th of March 2012 the Finals of the Alpine Worldcup will be staged on the Planai with races in the disciplines Downhill, Super-G, Giant Slalom and Slalom for men and women. So if you want to get a pretaste of the flaire of the Alpine Ski World Championship in 2013, then you should not miss this special event.

 

Alpine Ski World Championship 2013

The day 29th of May 2008 was a really joyful day for Schladming. Because exactly on this day Schladming was choosed for the second time after 1982 to host the Alpine Ski World Championships in the year 2013. Since that day already much time has passed by, and the great event gains on very fast.

Many of the planned building operations, which were necessairy regarding to the Alpine Ski World Championship 2013, and also for the future of Schladming, were already finished in summer. So the Hotel DIE BARBARA and Appartements ZUR BARBARA is situated now in front of a completely new "WM-Park Planai" and the new "Planet Planai". Further building projects like the new Media Center "Congress Schladming" and the new train station of Schladming are also already realised.

As "Schladminger" we are very proud to be host of such an important event.
